  • Overview

    The Manager, Data Intelligence is responsible for developing strategic data-driven marketing plans and measuring their performance. The role will scope and fulfill data-driven approaches through partnership with our Client Services team and coordination with our Campaign Execution team to deliver them. He/she works across the Data Intelligence & Analytics team to implement data, direct marketing, digital, and/or cross-channel marketing initiatives with particular emphasis on measurable strategies to drive program performance and insight.


    A successful candidate will be comfortable with numbers and has ample experience analyzing and mining historical data. He or she should not only comprehend multiple types of information, but also be able to glean trends and behaviors that will help define campaign targeting and success. Ideal candidates are skilled in working across differing data and marketing analytics platforms and data sets and can collaborate with and communicate information to clients and third parties.

    What you'll do:

    • Develop and deliver data-driven, digital and cross-channel marketing strategies for assigned clients through collaboration with key internal stakeholders
    • Define and execute measurement strategies for clients, inclusive of timely and comprehensive reporting and dashboards with an objective to evaluate marketing performance, drive valuable insights, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
    • Identify, research, and evaluate initiatives to support strategy development
    • Deliver business cases for new marketing programs and/or initiatives
    • Develop and manage strategic marketing and/or measurement roadmaps for clients
    • Conduct detailed analyses of clients’ current analytic tools, strategies and reporting processes
    • Identify and/or define campaign success metrics and KPIs for tracking and reporting while monitoring campaign and business performance
    • Understand and analyze various engagement and conversion data, drawing conclusions that help increase the performance of the digital marketing campaign tactics.
    • Design and execute business requirements
    • Bring an awareness of best practices for user data and analytics tools and processes to your team and clients

    Who you are:

    • Strong understanding and experience with the application of online and offline data and marketing channel principles
    • Hands-on strategy development and execution experience with combinations of email, DM, website, social, and other related channels
    • Ability to assess and analyze client creative objectives to produce and recommend appropriate solutions
    • Ability to synthesize information from various sources and extract key insights
    • Strong skills and demonstrated experience in applying analytics and research to craft digital and cross-channel marketing strategies
    • Experience with data mining, quantitative analytics and interpreting and presenting derived insights and recommendations
    • Experience with marketing technology and e-commerce, including web analytics, email marketing, search marketing, and social media
    • Experience with digital measurement tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Doubleclick, Webtrends, Radian6 and Visible Technologies
    • Working knowledge of digital technology development, particularly in relation to website, content management, and mobile applications
    • Highly creative with first-rate conceptual, visual and writing skills
    • Superior oral communication and presentation skills
    • Must be able to collaboratively solve problems and deal with conflict
    • Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity
    • Ability to work in a flexible, dynamic and fast-paced environment;
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word; 

    Education/Experience Required:

    • BA/BS Marketing or Communications degree, Masters degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of cross-channel marketing experience in management consulting or agency environment
    • Strong experience with direct mail and email marketing data strategy and analytics
    • Marketing agency experience strongly preferred
