  • Overview

    The Executive Vice President, Strategy (EVP, Strategy) is a senior agency executive and thought leader who will provide strategic leadership for a top-tier client across all lines of business and define the strategic roadmap for how Rauxa will take the client’s business to the next level. To achieve success, the EVP, Strategy partners with Account Leadership and the Chief Creative Officer to sell through strategic visions, recommendations, and transformational ideas to clients.


    The EVP, Strategy identifies consumer insights and transforms them into actionable strategies and programs that achieve brand objectives, leverage data and technology to drive change for the client’s business, and provides ongoing thought leadership.  He or she will have a data-driven perspective on the marketing landscape, with the proven ability to use data and technology as modern levers for driving strategy and change to client business as well as demonstrated experience as a thought leader in data-driven relationship marketing, CRM, and digital marketing. 

    What you'll do:

    • Oversee the on-going review of client objectives and input to develop short-term and long-term integrated marketing strategies for clients
    • Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert on 1:1 relationship marketing and direct marketing best practices with key client(s)
    • Direct overall development of all strategic recommendations to key client(s), reviewing all strategic recommendations developed by Strategy staff and being responsible for overall quality
    • Present strategic recommendations and visions to clients with emphasis on value added by concepts and strategies developed by agency
    • Work cross-functionally within the agency to ensure the successful and innovative execution of approved strategies
    • Partner with Account and Creative teams to sell recommended work to the clients
    • Foster positive relationships between Strategy teams and other agency departments with a high degree of collaboration
    • Lead, inspire, and mentor a team and conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports

    • A strong inspirational leader with proven management skills and excellent delegation abilities
    • A specialist in direct marketing and database principles with knowledge of direct marketing production techniques and an advanced understanding of integrated marketing principles
    • A strategist with the strong ability to assess and analyze client objectives to produce and recommend best in class marketing solutions
    • A subject matter expert in the development of integrated direct marketing strategies across multiple platforms including print, digital, and social media strategies
    • A presenter of unparalleled ability to compel an audience through oral and written excellence


    Other Required Experience:

    • Digital or Direct Marketing Agency Experience is a must
    • BA/BS Marketing or Communications degree
    • Minimum of 15 years of work experience, with extensive 1:1 relationship or direct marketing experience
