  • Overview

    The Content Strategist is responsible for supporting consumer and B2B Content Strategy efforts within an integrated advertising agency. This position is 30-40hrs/week, on-site the majority of the time, at least 3 months with the possibility to extend.

    What you'll do:

    • Bring brand stories to life in compelling ways for customers and prospects
    • Take complex client asks and simplify them into actionable strategies
    • Help define content strategies that enhance the customer experience
    • Provide direction, key insights and content strategy documents to guide marketing plans and initiatives
    • Audit content in the digital landscape and make strategic recommendations
    • Monitor social media conversations and identify trends
    • Write content briefs and content outlines for brand pages, content marketing assets, blog posts, online video and social content
    • Spark content ideas with creative teams
    • Guide and build editorial calendars  
    • Research and organize sources to provide insights and documentation
    • Monitor and quality-control copy during development and production
    • Amplify quality of copy decks, infographics, and other digital output
    • Provide metadata for web pages and image

    Who you are:


    • 5+ years in a similar lead content marketing role
    • Content creation and storytelling through brands’ owned content channels
    • Advising clients on content pillars, curating opportunities and content marketing
    • Collaborating with internal stakeholders (account/creative/data/technology) and presenting strategic ideas
    • Overseeing content development (online/offline/video) and quality to meet user expectations and drive results
    • Editorial calendar planning and journey mapping across channels, direct mail, websites, social, content hubs or blogs 


    • Self-driven with the ability to work and consult independently
    • Great communication and client presentation skills
    • Client collaborator/partner and content hub editor
    • Familiarity with copy development process and content marketing
    • Expertise using PowerPoint (and/or Keynote)
    • Familiar with Excel for building content matrices and mining data
    • Foundational understanding of front-end website development and SEO
    • Knowledge of CMS tools for content input and site or blog maintenance
    • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with focus in Marketing or Communications
