  • Overview

    The Technical Manager is responsible for guiding, delivering and leading software solutions that address business/technical needs or challenges for our clients. You will be a seasoned veteran on technology consulting, platform selection, implementation as well as leading teams and projects, and will have multiple successful implementations. You will be responsible for mentoring and delivering development teams that are in-house, near-shore or offshore. You will be a leader and expert in one or more technical work streams critical to the overall product. This candidate is a full stack developer with extensive experience in both front end and back end concepts. A champion of coding best practices, this person provides the development team with direct support, technical oversight and helps to resolve team impediments. 

    What you'll do:

    • Lead architecture and design of high impact projects while meeting functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and time to market needs.
    • Articulate conceptual, logical and physical solutions on the behalf of Rauxa for the development of a proposal.
    • Provide accurate estimates of effort required to develop and deploy technical components of overall solutions.
    • Structure and manage complex, large scale, multi-track projects.
    • Participate in client meetings and presentations to set expectations and to discuss client responsibilities, requirements, initiatives and concepts.
    • Provide hands-on development support to in-house, near-shore or offshore project teams.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of industry and enterprise-wide trends and best practices.
    • Identify and manage risk on projects.
    • Contribute technical requirements to stories against the product roadmap
    • Provide architectural input to their work stream
    • Maintain architectural backlog of stories to improve business value in the product
    • Help business teams assess feasibility and provide technical POV on stated goals
    • Take ownership of process and execution of release and regression delivery cycles
    • Review code for best practices, readability, and functional alignment with stated business goals

    Who you are:

    • You have a Bachelor degree in concentrations of computer science, management information systems, computer engineering or closely related field.
    • You have seven plus years of relevant progressively responsible experience of which:
      • Five years of software development experience demonstrating basic programming skills, application analysis and testing.
      • Five years developing Web applications with content management focus.
      • Three years as lead developer or application architecture/enterprise architecture.
      • You understand development models and methodologies, including Scrum, as well as traditional waterfall methods.
    • You have expertise in multiple technology platforms/languages such as Java, J2EE, C#, .NET, etc.
    • You are competent with Adobe AEM, Hybris, Eloqua and Omniture.
    • You have experience with NodeJS, Express/Sails
    • You have experience in SQL/Mongo
    • You know how to administer Linux server
    • You have experience in AWS Services, API gateway, serverless architecture, etc.
    • You have general knowledge of Business Intelligence software packages.
    • You have general knowledge of mobile platforms and mobile as well as Responsive application development.
    • You have prior experience in a consulting or agency environment.
    • You have full software development life cycle experience
    • You have deep understanding of front-end concepts and popular languages/libraries. 
    • You must have great communication/English skills
