Overview

The Email Developer (ED) develops HTML code for email campaigns that meets the expectations of Rauxa’s clients and industry best practices and assists with email deployment. The Email Developer maintains the satisfaction of internal teams and our clients by providing high-quality work and exceptional customer service.

 

This position requires knowledge of and experience with the Marketo marketing automation platform, and knowledge of email marketing best practices and hands on experience building and deploying email campaigns. Additionally, the Email Developer should have strong project management and interpersonal skills and an ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

What you'll do:

  • You will build email utilizing templates in Marketo
  • You will use Marketo syntax to update existing and/or create new templates
  • You will accept creative (PSD, PDF, InDesign, JPG) files and develops HTML, including coding link tracking
  • You will code HTML according to email development best practices
  • You will work with Marketing Analytics Manager to set-up images and HTML in Email Service Provider tool
  • You will test and troubleshoot email campaigns across multiple platforms, browsers and email clients
  • You will stay updated on email industry news and best practices for coding HTML email
  • You will assists in additional email deployment related tasks
  • You will work independently on routine HTML development assignments. Receives direction and guidance on more complex assignments
  • You will provide assistance on additional email deployment related tasks
  • You will develop common operations which can be reused
  • You will review source code to assure quality and precision of work.

  • You have hands on experience with an enterprise level email delivery system such as Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, Silverpop, Campaign Monitor etc
  • You understand the quirks and limitations of email environments
  • You have knowledge of best practices for email marketing, including email creative, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, list growth, etc.
  • You have hands-experience in day-to-day email execution from concept stage through execution
  • You have experience working with web analytics tools such as, Google Analytics and Omniture 

 

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
  • 2 years experience with marketing automation platforms and, minimum of 1 year experience in Marketo specifically
  • 2 years experience building, scheduling, and testing email campaigns
  • A portfolio of work samples
  • Relevant experience in either a client or agency database marketing program
  • Thorough understanding of HTML/CSS, mobile responsive design
  • Competency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Competency in Microsoft Office
