Overview

Rauxa Seattle is growing! We are in need of an Associate Art Director (AAD) to join our team. As an AAD, you will partner with our creative and account teams in the design and production of digital marketing pieces. You will take part in job briefs and help define, refine, and execute designs through rounds and build comprehensives for client presentations. You will create and optimize emails, landing pages, responsive websites, display ads, direct mail, and new business presentations.  

What you'll do:

  • You are responsible for helping refine the design of projects
  • You will communicate and interact with account teams to ensure design remains consistent with clients expectations and campaign strategy and client brand guidelines
  • You will collaborate with Sr. Art Directors to produce design materials
  • You will work closely with copywriters to develop creative concepts
  • You will ensure concepts, rounds and final mechanicals are accurate and error free, including file construction, organization and prepping of files
  • You will support and back-up Production Artists to ensure the accurate release of final mechanicals to agency vendors by the agreed deadline
  • You will remain up-to-date on the latest developments in software applications, printing techniques and production technology
  • You will assess and implement latest industry developments with existing creative to ensure accurate and error free design
  • You will maintain archives of final mechanicals and photography files

Who you are:

  • You are skilled and efficient in the use of InDesign, CS Suite, Illustrator and Photoshop, including the ability to make changes quickly and accurately;
  • You understand strategic direction;
  • You have excellent conceptual and design skills;
  • You understand graphic design, including page layout, typography and illustration;
  • You have the ability to assess latest developments in software applications, printing techniques and production;
  • You have the proficiency in photo editing, color correction, and image manipulation
  • You are highly organized with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple projects with total accuracy and attention to detail;
  • You will work well as a team player in a flexible, dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • You have excellent visual and verbal communication skills;

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree, or equivalent work experience;
  • Portfolio focused on digital and print marketing campaigns including design and production expertise;
  • 1-4 years experience in Graphic Design.
