A leader and expert in one or more technical work streams critical to the overall product. A champion of coding best practices this person also provides developers with a level of support, and technical oversight. Leads the effort in ensuring successful code delivery and applies their technical expertise throughout the release cycle in all technical areas like code review and sign off.  Responsible for the overall architecture of the solution. They also act as a resource to other developers and actively engage in resolving technical challenges within the team.

What you'll do:

  • Lead in the development and innovation of digitally focused products.
  • Provide technical support, resolving bugs and issues.
  • Provide production level support of escalated L1, L2 issues.
  • Identify technical risks within in sprint delivery cycles and work with the Product Team to communicate risk and solutions respectively.
  • Own code delivery, ensuring all development adheres to platform standards.
  • Develop and grow other technical team members.
  • Ensure the coding best practices and code delivery standards.
  • Ensure code meets architectural and business requirements as defined in each story.
  • Ensure code delivery by helping to resolve developer impediments and guide them toward a path of resolution.
  • Review code that is inline with the areas of expertise throughout the code delivery process. Ensure timely review of incoming PRs, ensure technical concerns are satisfied, and sign off on code to be delivered.
  • Work with RM team to ensure a successful release. Attend RM ceremonies to aid in the planning and delivery processes.
  • Attend architectural grooming  sessions. Engage in discussion in feature development and provide input into a technical solution. Gain a technical understanding of the solution and uncover any key technical questions.
  • Attend story planning sessions. Review groomed stories and evaluate the points to be awarded. Define your sprint commitments with the other members of your team.
  • Set and ensure the technical specs for creative assets. Ensure they are delivered to meet the outlined technical requirements.
  • Engage in the knowledge transfer process with other developers.

  • A problem solver, leveraging a broad understanding of digital marketing technology platforms, tools, and market landscape
  • A hands-on developer first, through-and-through, with experience in the following:
    • SailsJS, NodeJS
    • JavaScript frameworks (i.e.: Angular, Backbone, Underscore & Handlebars)
    • jQuery or similar DOM manipulation framework
    • HTML/ HTML5 / Web standards
    • LESS / SASS / CSS / CSS3 and other animation libraries
    • Responsive web development for multi-touch devices
    • Cross-browser compatibility development
    • The importance of Accessibility
    • Front end Application Architecture (MVVM/MVC)
    • The Adobe Creative Suite


  • At least 7 years of relevant progressively responsible experience, ideally in an agency or consulting environment, including:
    • 2 years in software development demonstrating basic programming skills, application analysis and testing
    • 2 years developing Web applications with content management focus
    • 3 years as serving as lead developer and/or leading application architecture / enterprise architecture
  • Experience working through the entire SDLC
  • Experience with 2 or more WCM/ECM products is helpful
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field
