The Associate Creative Director, Copywriting develops and executes creative concepts and assists in providing direction to creative teams. As an ACD, you will partner with Account Services and Strategy to ensure work is strategically sound and creatively brilliant. Serving as the day-to-day creative lead on specified account(s), you will create and execute cross-channel campaigns that engage consumers and drive response.

 

This position requires heavy digital, and traditional media expertise, along with a deep understanding of direct marketing and email.

What you'll do:

  • Develop concepts and write creative copy that is innovative and compelling for Rauxa’s clients, ensuring work is on strategy, engaging and cost-effective to produce
  • Work closely with in-house and freelance creative teams to develop creative concepts and guide day-to-day work
  • Assist in the development of creative work for new business pitches
  • Present creative work to clients in an effective and compelling manner
  • Recommend improvements and changes to the agency’s processes and procedures to deliver ingenious solutions to our clients
  • Ensure concepts, rounds and final copy are correct and error free, including grammar, terminology, and spelling
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in cross-channel marketing
  • Develop and grow the skills and experience of creative teams and seek and hire new talent

Who you are:

  • An integrated marketing / advertising writer with excellent conceptual and copywriting skills
  • A valuable partner to Strategists and Art Directors alike
  • Intellectually curious with an innate ability to build an understanding of clients’ business and competitive landscape quickly
  • Organized with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple high profile projects while simultaneously allocating work to the remainder of the team
  • An effective manager and mentor – you know how to motivate and guide a creative team
  • A stickler for details – you never let work go out with any grammatical, spelling or punctuation errors
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude and a touch of swagger

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years experience as an integrated marketing copywriter, at least 5 of which in an agency environment
  • Previous experience leading creative teams is helpful, but not required
  • A wide ranging portfolio focused on cross-channel campaigns with an emphasis on direct to consumer marketing in the digital space
  • A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Literature, Communication, or related field preferred
