Overview

The Account Supervisor (AS) is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing strong client relationships. This responsibility includes maintaining stable client relationships and achieving growth on existing accounts, as well as managing the supporting Account team. The AS is expected to be the cross-functional team leader, with ultimate budget, quality, and timeline accountability. The AS is ultimately responsible for driving client satisfaction at every touchpoint.  The ideal candidate will have outstanding project management skills, the ability to persuade and inspire others, and a proven track record of successful account leadership

What you'll do:

 

  • Be responsible for being the agency’s “expert” on a client and/or business category
  • Lead the agency’s efforts to become a valuable resource to the client’s organization
  • Manage the delivery of a wide variety of project types (interactive, direct mail, strategy, etc.)
  • Establishe and meets annual and monthly account growth goals
  • Maintain direct, day-to-day, senior level client contact and supervises one or more accounts
  • Be responsible for job-level and account-level profitability 
  • Work in a proactive manner to provide the client with thought leadership and strategic guidance, determining the best solutions to fulfill the needs of the client
  • Partner with the Director of Account to ensure proper agency support is allocated to client jobs
  • Maintain a superior level of knowledge in all aspects of relationship marketing, including expertise in both direct mail and digital engagement vehicles
  • Maintain a superior knowledge of data analytics and can clearly articulate the value it brings to our clients
  • Write Job Launch Briefs and reviews briefs written by direct reports
  • Analyze client input and applies background knowledge to direct the internal Rauxa team
  • Provide internal teams with well-documented input, support data, and production materials as required
  • Manage client annual budgets and communicates updates to clients as needed
  • Keep appraised of all relevant client products/services/marketing developments
  • Develop project quotes & schedules for client approval  
  • Review all final creative materials, such as proofs, staging sites/pages, or test emails with client and ensures the information is accurate and that client approval gets communicated to digital and/or print production groups
  • Effectively presents, sells, and defends all agency work/proposals to clients
  • Ensure that projects are delivered to clients on time and on budget and of a high standard of excellence 
  • Grow current client accounts by developing strategic recommendations that meet the client’s business objectives and long-term goals 
  • Supervise  Account team members, providing ongoing direction to ensure that all jobs are managed effectively and efficiently
  • Conduct training, creates employee development plans, and conducts annual reviews for all direct reports
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports in order to monitor project progress and provide regular coaching and direction 
  • Consistently demonstrate project management best-practices, and reinforces correct practices with assigned Account team members 
  • Act as a leader within the Account team, providing training and support for junior team members
  • Build lasting client and agency relationships

Who you are:

 

  • Outstanding project management skills
  • A Proven leadership ability and previous management experience 
  • Solid understanding of marketing best-practices, with specific experience within the interactive marketing and direct mail categories 
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems creatively 
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to precise details and accuracy 
  • Proven strategic account leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong presentation and persuasion skills 
  • Ability to manage several very complex projects with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to proactively represent the agency to all levels of the client organization, including executive level management
  • Demonstrated database marketing skills, direct marketing skills and creative development skills
  • Demonstrated digital marketing experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, highly dynamic atmosphere and react quickly to changes 

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required
  • At least seven (7) total years of agency and/or corporate marketing experience 
  • Experience with multiple direct marketing channels such as direct mail, TV, print, and interactive
  • Interactive or Direct Mail agency experience preferred

 

managing the relationship between the agency and one or more clients, managing and supervising account growth, and partnering with the client to develop marketing programs. These duties may be modified from time to time at the Company’s discretion.
